Unidirectional spin-wave edge modes in magnonic crystal

We present a numerical demonstration of magnonic crystals hosting unidirectional, topologically protected edge states. The crystal is formed dipolarly coupled Permalloy triangles. show that due to the geometry block, size structure can be scaled up. In addition, states found over wide frequency range. Experimental detection excitations in considered system done with state-of-the-art techniques. Thus, we demonstrate proof-of-concept Chern topological insulator nanostructure simple feasible for experimental realization. Furthermore, by tuning strength perpendicular magnetic field, induce phase transition, which results change direction state. Then, switch based on this effect.
